Macy’s Half-Price Museum Admission Month | Various Locations – 45 Museums | Family-friendly | Ongoing throughout the month of February.  With Macy’s Museum Month Pass, culture enthusiasts can experience half-price admission to 45 local museums for the entirety of February.  What a great way to experience San Diego’s many cultural offerings!

Beach Spin at the Hotel del Coronado | 92118 | Family-friendly, but minors 12-17 years of age need to be accompanied by parent | Call Hotel del Coronado for start-times.  Enjoy a 50-minute oceanfront spin class at the Hotel del Coronado’s Paseo Lawn.  The class will be led by instructors, as well as accompanied with high-energy music and stunning views of the Pacific seaside.  For San Diego residents, the class costs only $15 with a valid photo ID.  For non-residents, the fee will be $25.  Those classified as “Frequent Spinners” get their tenth class free.  Or, you can purchase unlimited spinning for $120.

Bite San Diego Walking Tours | Various times and locations | Family-friendly, but minors need to be accompanied by parent(s) | Check the website for more details.  For foodies who love a good walking tour, this ongoing event is for you to enjoy at various locations throughout the Greater San Diego region.  According to Bite San Diego’s website, guests can experience a 3+-hour walking tour of a selected neighborhood, complete with culinary samplings of at least 5 restaurants that showcase the neighborhood’s history and highlights.  Tours take place on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays at your choice of neighborhood — North Park, Downtown San Diego, Liberty Station, Coronado, La Jolla, and others.  Walking tours can be group tours or private tours.  Contact Bite San Diego for more information.

San Diego Jewish Film Festival | Various Times and Locations | Contact the organization to determine which films are family-friendly.  This year marks the 28th Annual San Diego Jewish Film Festival, where the best in Jewish films are being showcased.  The movies can be screened at five different locations throughout the Greater San Diego region.  Tickets start at around $15, but you can also purchase a $72 pass to view all the films.  Learn more by contacting their website.

Whale-Watching aboard the America Yacht via the San Diego Maritime Museum | 92101 | Family-friendly | Contact the San Diego Maritime Museum for cruise times.  Experience whale-watching aboard a 138-foot sailing yacht during this 4-hour tour off the coastline.  Ticket prices range from $42.50 to $85, with discounts for military personnel and veterans.  Remember that you have to check-in about 45-minutes prior to your departure time, because boarding time is different from launch time.  Your ticket also includes free admission to the Maritime Museum.  What’s more, the cruise comes with a NO SEASICKNESS Guarantee — so if you happen to lose your lunch, they’ll replace it with a $25 gift certificate.

3PM Painting by the Sea Class at the Hotel del Coronado | 92118 | Family-friendly, but only for ages 16+ | Contact the Hotel del Coronado to reserve your seats in advance (no same-day bookings).  Revel in the experience of painting at this historic luxury resort with classical music playing and the beautiful Pacific ocean beside you.  All levels of painters are welcome.  All will be provided an 11×14 blank canvas, Hotel del Coronado apron, and self-parking validation.  Class lasts approximately 90 minutes.  Those 21+ can enjoy some wine.

7PM Ice Hockey Game – San Diego Gulls v. Ontario Reign, at Valley View Casino | 92110 | Family-friendly | Contact the ticketing website for available seating. Gulliver the Gull is calling on San Diego to support the home team of the San Diego Gulls during this exciting high-energy home game that will be a fun watch for the entire family or with a group of friends.  Who knew you could experience the glorious sport of ice hockey right here in southern California in the middle of Winter Olympics season?  Tickets start at $22.

Sunday – February 18th, 2018

2PM – 3PM Sunday Organ Concert, Spreckels Organ Pavilion at Balboa Park | 92101 | Family-friendly | Free, with seating available at first-come, first-served basis.  Enjoy a melodic Sunday concert at Balboa Park’s historic Spreckels Organ Pavilion.  This Sunday’s performance will be helmed by Jared Jacobsen, who was San Diego’s Civic Organist from 1978 to 1984.

4PM House of Blues’ Local Brews Local Grooves Festival | 92101 | 21+ | Call for reservations, ticket sales, and military discounts.  This popular local music and craft beer festival returns to delight festival-goers with good music and brews.  For $20, there will be access to a dozen musical groups plus beer tastings from 14 craft brewers.  And, for an additional $10, festival guests can have early VIP access to the event with complimentary swag bags, food, and free-flowing drinks.
