Cherry Blossom Festival at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park | March 9th – 11th, 2018 | Family-friendly | Tickets can be purchased at the door. Enjoy the flowering trees as they bloom amidst a plethora of cultural offerings. The perfect way to celebrate spring’s arrival.
The Ten Tenors Wish You Were Here Tour at the Historic Balboa Theater | March 10th, 2018 | Family-friendly | Tickets required. The group hails from Australia, and they’re all on a World Tour, making a stop here in San Diego to entertain with “some of the world’s greatest hits of all time.” What kinds of music shall be on offer? The Ten Tenors shall be singing “classic rock anthems, current day chart toppers, even soaring arias of Verdi and other traditional favorites.”
San Diego Half Marathon, Downtown | March 11th, 2018 | Family-friendly | Paid registration required to participate, spectators free to watch the athletes run. For runners, here’s another chance to prove your athletic mettle. As for the audience, this one will be a great event to feel inspired.
38th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, Downtown then to Balboa Park | March 17th, 2018 | Family-friendly | FREE. Shamrocks, clover, leprechauns, and pots of gold coins are themes to be had at this annual St. Patrick’s celebration. Good Luck shall abound.
San Diego Crew Classic at Mission Bay and Beaches | March 24th – 25th, 2018 | Family-friendly | Tickets required. The San Diego Crew Classic has been around since 1973. Thousands of rowers participate, from 14-year-olds to 84-year-olds. Many of the athletes are competitive rowers at university level and even at Olympic caliber. Watch the spectacle. Reserve your admission tickets.
Easter Bunny Teas at the Westgate Hotel | March 30th – 31st, 2018 | Family-friendly | Tickets required. Tea with crumpets and pastries are to be had at the luxury boutique destination known as the Westgate. Hippity-Hoppity right to it.
